Associate Process Development Engineer, Electrochemistry

Tesla's Cell Engineering Team is looking for a highly motivated cell engineer to accelerate our next generation battery cell products. This role will lead assembly, testing, data analysis and post-mortem characterization of coin and pouch type cell for Tesla battery electrode development. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop early-stage concepts to production scaling activities.

The battery cell is a critical component in Tesla vehicles and energy storage systems. This role will have the opportunity to make impactful contributions to our products. Responsibilities

• Coin and pouch cell fabrication and electrochemical testing as well as characterization
• Improve cell quality and performance
• Document coin and pouch cell build design and parameter, and electrochemical results
• Process electrochemical data and characterization results and report summary and feedback
• Perform cell failure root-cause analysis and implement learnings to improve cell reliability and performance

Expected Compensation

76,000 - $148,200 / annual salary cash and stock awards benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
