What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collision Field Technical Trainer position at Tesla?
Tesla is seeking a curious, engaging, and driven Collision Technical Training Instructor to join the Collision Learning & Development (L&D) team. You will deliver training to onboard and support the performance of Collision body technicians. You will ensure the effective and efficient implementation of our learning programs, including the success of training for Technicians at new and existing Tesla Collision locations. The position can be located in any of our Regional Training Hub Collision Centers (Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dublin, OH, Salt Lake City, UT, Reno, NV, San Jose, CA, Elk Grove Village, IL)
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging collision instructor-led training on mechanical systems, aluminum and steel welding, aluminum and steel structural repair, and paint-less dent repair
- Train and develop Collision technicians on inspection, repair, and service of Tesla vehicles
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
- Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated, and administered in compliance with Tesla's objectives
- Assist with scheduling classes, coordinating site visits, and conducting virtual support
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project. Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Must be able to work independently in limited supervision environments. Comply with all Tesla safety rules guidelines and standards
