What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Associate position at Tesla?
As a Tesla Construction Associate, you will play a crucial role in new construction and facility maintenance at the Robstown, TX Lithium Refinery. You will be responsible for safety and general construction labor duties primarily in an outdoor environment. In addition, you will at times wear a fall protection harness while working from heights or from a suspended position. Work will include use of power tools and operating heavy equipment where experience / qualifications allow.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project management and other superintendents on construction and facility site service projects including road maintenance, dewatering efforts, traffic control, maintenance tasks
- Handle daily activities such as loading / unloading materials, operating various tools, mobile equipment, and machinery
- Familiarity with materials like paint, epoxy, concrete, Unistrut, and metals; consult manuals and installation instructions for equipment
- Perform tasks outside core competency, learn new skills as needed, complete tasks promptly, and provide feedback to stakeholders
- Ability to monitor contractor work scopes and support construction superintendents as needed
