What To Expect
As a Construction Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing construction of Tesla's Giga Factory Texas. Your responsibilities will include managing construction materials and equipment, coordinating laydown areas, overseeing material movement, maintaining inventory, and ensuring accurate receipt and issuance documentation. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, and Construction to ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials and equipment throughout the project.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute material management processes to accurately manage all construction related material onsite Manage material inventory and implement control procedures to ensure the timely execution of construction projects Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials to the project site Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations for all logistics operations Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on logistics performance and challenges Lead field crew in safe material handling processes and equipment selection Proactively forecast equipment needs for efficient equipment usage
What You'll Bring
Degree in Logistics or equivalent experience 5 years of experience in logistics management, with a focus on material and inventory management Strong knowledge of materials management practices, inventory control, and procurement processes Experienced with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam preferred Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in varying environments Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and anticipate last minute changes
