What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent, Electrical position at Tesla?
The Electrical Construction Superintendent will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Trade Partners, Infrastructure Engineering, Quality, Commissioning, and Facilities teams throughout the installation process and up to the start of production. In this role, you will oversee all on-site construction activities, including scheduling trade contractors, managing utility and structural installations, and coordinating vendor tool setups. You will ensure strict adherence to plans and specifications while actively monitoring the project schedule and budget to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring effective supervision of contractors and smooth project execution
- Develop comprehensive electrical execution plans and accelerated schedules, ensuring alignment and coordination with all project stakeholders
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project coordination
- Drive work activities to meet project deadlines, resolve constraints, and promptly escalate construction issues to management
- Prepare and present daily and weekly site progress reports, keeping all parties informed on project status
- Schedule and support quality control inspections, commissioning tasks, and site safety inspections to ensure compliance and performance standards
- Uphold a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by strictly following and enforcing relevant state and OSHA safety regulations
