Responsibilities

  • Installs, terminates, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and controls equipment and instrumentation utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Working with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes
  • Supporting controls engineering and facilities groups in troubleshooting, upgrading and new installation of systems
  • Understands the principles of measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processes using instrumentation
  • Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
  • Adjusting system components or removing and replacing defective parts, Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment, Using lifts and ladders
  • Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience on process automation and / or electromechanical systems, Ability to perform skilled termination of controls devices
  • Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 24VDC to 480VAC
  • Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings, Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics, Ability to read and interpret PLC code and HMI screens
  • Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft, Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable controllers and other electronic components
  • Strong understanding of HVAC and process instrumentation (pressure, level, differential pressure, temperature and analytical) Strong understanding of controls valves, dampers, and associated actuators
  • Must have command of English Langauge, both written and verbal
