What To Expect
The Facilities Maintenance Testing Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems within Tesla Gigafactory Nevada. Facilities Maintenance Technicians leverage a combination of technical expertise, interpersonal communication, and critical thinking skills while collaborating with the Facilities Operations and Maintenance teams. Key responsibilities include performing general maintenance tasks, conducting preventive maintenance, and addressing emergency maintenance issues as needed and assigned.
What You'll Do
Support all Facilities electrical testing scopes, LOTO confirmation, scope of work reviews pre/post job, create written procedures for electrical test equipment, follow all Tesla standards and protocols, support general contractor needs throughout electrical testing scopes of work (i.e. assisting contractors in the field) Perform maintenance on various types of industrial equipment as needed (typically electrical equipment) Utilize equipment drawings and manuals to maintain and trouble shoot equipment Identify parts required for maintenance jobs and coordination of requesting various parts for jobs Communicate equipment issues with leadership and drive solutions to issues Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing, with a strong understanding of electrical theory, practical application, and related hazards Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment manuals Experienced in using electrical testing equipment such as Breaker Testing, TTR, Winding Resistance, Frax, and Trax Certified as a NETA Certified Technician or have been certified in the past Skilled in identifying equipment and understanding associated hazards Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and reading parts lists and technical drawings Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
