What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Ops position at Tesla?
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Facilities Systems, including maintenance tasks related to Elevators, Dock systems, rain mitigation activities, and general maintenance. They will lead a team of technicians, and their responsibilities will include hiring, training, and developing staff to successfully support and improve "the machine that builds the machine".
Responsibilities
- Champion and reinforce a safety culture in all aspects of work completed. Develop Pre-Task Plans, Permits (SIPP, Hot Work, Line Break), LOTO, and EHS reviews, as necessary
- Coordination and supervision of one or more shifts of technicians in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, water, wastewater, chemical, and gas distribution systems
- Verify the quality of work order execution (PM, CM, RM) Review scheduled work orders daily. Track all work not completed and develop a plan to complete it within the required compliance time
- Audit work completed. Identify gaps in quality, tasks, and resources
- Continuously gauge team members to understand what they need, their goals, and what motivates them. Champion the development and setting up of each team member for success. Provide training, mentoring, performance improvement, and career development to technicians
- Identify repetitive issues and problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Drive other projects as needed by management or as business needs change. Manage operational expenses and execute within-budget forecasts

96,000 - $144,000 / annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
