What are the responsibilities and job description for the Invoice Quality Assurance Specialist position at Tesla?
Invoice Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for reviewing construction contractor invoices for accuracy, and contractor compliance regarding to the Tesla executed agreement. Analyze and resolve invoicing and billing issues with contractors. Help develop and implement financial invoice controls to eliminate risk. Will do cost and budget analysis that includes forecasting and generating KPI's. Communicate and work with Construction, Accounts Payable, Finance, and Internal Audit when needed.
Responsibilities
Communication with construction contractors regarding invoicing and issues with account payables
Review construction contractor invoices to ensure agreements terms are being followed correctly
Knowledge in the proper completion of AIA forms, waivers, and retainage
Proactively analyze and mitigate any contractor billing issues
Develop and implement financial controls to eliminate risks
Understanding of state tax applications and laws regarding construction agreements
Cost and budget analysis, including full forecasting of all contractor invoices
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting / Construction Management or equivalent experience
5 years of experience in relevant field
Experience with construction billing (AIA forms, lien waivers, retention, multiple compensation strategies)
Big 4 experience a plus
Attention to detail and very procedure oriented
Strong analytical skills relating to cost and forecasting
Strong communication skills in dealing with construction contractors
