What To Expect
The Parts Quality Project Manager works with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Production, Sustaining, and Supply Chain) throughout the entire lifecycle of a product (from initial design through prototype development and into full production). The role consists of coordinate projects at systems, process and execution levels driving actions to sustain department KPIs.
What You'll Do
Serve as key point of contact for all cross-functional parts quality related project for existing products/process Establish action path for Tesla part level issues at the different factories through Run Parts quality sorts and rework projects, meeting with rework owners to ensure long term corrective actions have well defined positive business impact prior to leadership review Support Parts quality data analysis, providing decisions on work priorities as well as actions to address Create and Engage actively with individuals and multi-functional teams to ensure that projects are done on time and within budget Implement process improvements and scalability tools in above areas Consistently collaborate on high level root cause investigations Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks while provides insights and coordinates cross-functional team assessment on parts quality issue downstream impact and priorities
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Understanding of manufacturing/operations, experience in Data Analytics is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours Can work closely with cross-functional departments Advance Excel knowledge (plots, Pareto Charts, etc.) Must understand general manufacturing processes, quality methodologies, and team leadership while Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
