What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Technician, PC Operations position at Tesla?
As a PC Process Technician, you will be required to have a strong focus on material flow to optimize and manage the movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods through the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sustaining, designing, improving, and implementing systems that ensure the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials across production lines, warehouses, and distribution channels.
What You'll Do
- Design and sustain material flow from raw material receipt to finished goods shipping for seamless production and accurate inventory data
- Integrate and improve technological tools for inventory management to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Plan and optimize plant layouts, storage, and transportation systems to minimize congestion and reduce material handling costs
- Monitor material flow efficiency, collect data, and identify areas for improvement to optimize processes
- Recommend and implement lean principles and automation to eliminate waste and improve material flow accuracy
- Collaborate with various teams to align material flow systems with production goals
- Provide continuous data on issue resolution, task statuses, and project completion for inventory management analysis

- Strong understanding of Tesla Systems, process design, and optimization
- Fluent with common MS office programs
- Problem-solving & analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify and address material flow challenges and make data-driven decisions
- Highly detailed and service-oriented, and strong process-driven nature strongly desired
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively internally and across departments
- Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, meet targets and hit milestones with minimal supervision
- Have a good understanding of warehousing, conveyance, and inventory compliance processes for all shops
