Tesla is looking for a Quality Control Construction Electrical Manager to help support SEMI Construction projects at Gigafactory in Nevada.
What You'll Do
- Assist with development of the site-specific QA/QC/CX program while driving a quality culture that embraces both “right first time” and continuous learning approach that improves project efficiency and quality
- Establish and maintain working relationships with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, commissioning agents and vendors to ensure that the site-specific QC/CX Program is followed for all projects
- Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation deliveries and activities on site
- Confirm that scopes of work installation conforms to approved Design drawings, specifications, and method
- Witness & perform construction complete inspection checks & writes QC reports verifying proper install per design & code standards
- Obtain relevant documentation and ensure the correct implementation of the Inspection Test Plans for all things related to electrical, controls & fire protection
- Assist and coordinate final handover documentation (QC/CX documents, test reports, inspection reports, etc.) including completion of construction punch lists
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years experience in quality assurance
- Knowledge of the construction quality & commissioning process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances
- Experience in the construction quality management of mission critical facilities
- Ability to research building codes (NFPA/NEC, UL, other) and interpret the requirements against installed product
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on, working environment
