What To Expect
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Tesla. The successful candidate will identify and mitigate quality risks, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
This role will be based out of the Greater Houston Area (TX) and will require 90% travel to the Bay Area (CA) to support early builds and validation support through Q2 2026. Travel plans and reimbursement will follow Tesla’s Travel Policy and will be governed by the direct manager.
What You'll Do
Develop and implement comprehensive quality management system to ensure product specifications and industry standards are met Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and defects, and report on quality performance to company stakeholders. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly Prepare and present quality performance reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, issues, and progress towards quality objectives Oversee documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports and corrective action plans Provide training and support to project and operations teams on quality standards and best practices
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, with a strong focus on large-scale construction projects Self-motivated, collaborative individual who can work across teams Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial electrical projects Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex information and make data-driven decisions Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate quality principles and standard
