What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Supervisor, Cell Manufacturing position at Tesla?
We are seeking an energetic and engaging Quality Supervisor to lead Quality Technicians for our production line during our night shift operations. You will exercise your exceptional people skills to delegate tasks and guide personnel in developing one of Tesla's newest manufacturing teams. Your proven record of driving improvements and agility in responding to quality excursions will enable you to set the tone for the rest of the team. In addition, your strong collaborative skills allows you to bring cross functional teams together to efficiently solve complex problems. Your presence will bring structure to the team and bring the best performance out of each of your employees.
What You'll Do
- Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of quality technicians and inspectors
- Escalate quality issues with management and engineering as needed
- Drive improvements in quality operations
- Assist quality technicians and inspectors on in-line decision making
- Provide regular reports & updates to quality team and management
- Assist in management of material disposition
- Enforce 5S and workplace hygiene standards
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering or Science preferred, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees
- Proficiency in concepts such as SPC, process capability, PFMEA, control plan etc.
- Easily demonstrate ability to drive issues to root cause solutions in previous experience
- Able to wear PPE including a full face respirator and coveralls as needed
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
