Tesla is seeking a Quality Systems Engineering Technician to assist in developing and implementing quality systems. This position will involve identifying inefficiencies across the business and be responsible for implementation of technical solutions by working closely with the Technical Program Manager. Your changes will have impact on the way people work. To be successful in your role, business stakeholders should be able to trust your expertise for suggesting quantifiable solutions that will persist long after you move on to your next initiative.
What You'll Do
- Organize and schedule calibration requirements for monitoring and measuring devices.
- Help drive cross-functional programs to implement changes in compliance to the Quality Management System.
- Collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams to define functional and timeline requirements
- Be able to manage multiple action items across all departments and systems while managing stakeholder expectations and generating consensus on changes
- Ensure all elements of solution delivery are planned and accounted for: business analysis, technical design, development & validation, organizational change management, training, documentation, and more
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities (potential gaps between processes and systems) across all quality systems functions, developing tools that allow for visibility into process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
- Perform training to various functions on new roll outs and functionality changes
- Serve as the primary business point of contact for users, addressing day-to-day queries and supporting system adoption while monitoring overall system health
- Collaborate with other sites/teams to drive towards common solutions which will become Tesla's "best practices”
- Participate in internal auditing to monitor progress towards goals
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Engineering background or evidence of exceptional experience in related fields: business process analysis, process & procedural design
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or quality system role
- Preferred: Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system
- Preferred: Project management experience
- Experience as a Lead Auditor, team player, collaborate across diverse functional groups, and high attention to details.
