What To Expect
The Spares Technician will be responsible for identifying spare parts, transacting parts into and out of our inventory system, organizing and stocking parts in a variety of warehouse locations, transporting materials between warehouses, and interfacing directly with customers who are searching for parts. This person is expected to be able to execute against provided instructions from the Maintenance Material Planner to accurately identify spare parts, perform data entry tasks, create locations and labels for bins, and meet deadlines. The Spares Technician is expected to be able to communicate daily progress and be proactive in driving continuous process improvements. Experience with material handling equipment and warehouse systems are preferred.
What You'll Do
Follow all safety rules/guidelines as well as maintain an efficient and orderly work area Provide support to all Tesla Equipment Maintenance/ENG though spares kitting and part information identification Identify spare parts and track down part numbers as needed Proficiency with Excel and maintaining a list of parts for BOMs, CSP or kitted parts Accurately count and organize materials as well as print labels and create bin locations for organization Communicate daily results, ideas and problems while meeting deadlines Identify discrepant materials or components both in writing and verbally
What You'll Bring
Packaging, stocking, and shipping experience Basic understanding of warehouse systems Ability to use Excel Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods of time Ability to lift 30-50lbs on a daily basis and operate forklifts and man lifts
Essential Physical Demands
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day including both standing and walking Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs, including the ability to carry 20 lbs up and down stairs Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
