We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the programming and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Support the Security Engineering's Southern region in the successful delivery of new build and service projects
Programming and commissioning of access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems
Coordination with various internal and external stakeholders, including access control team, programming and commissioning team, project management, external security vendors
Compile, develop and maintain system configuration reports and technical documentation
Provide feedback and assist in process improvement
Participate in an on-call rotation, providing remote technical support and troubleshooting for security systems. After hours support may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
Degree in Information Technology or related field or installation field experience
Must have 3 years of security industry experience
Candidate should have a strong background in networking including knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, network topologies, routing protocols, network security, and the ability to configure and troubleshoot network devices like switches, routers, and firewalls
Experience with Genetec Ominicast & Gallagher Access Technician, Plan Grid or Autodesk construction cloud
Candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical principles including AC / DC circuits, relay logic & PLC's
Experienced in configuring networks and of enterprise system architecture
Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required
