What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Software QA Engineer position at Tesla?
Tesla is looking for a strong Software QA Engineer to develop and perform software tests for its current and next generations of business system applications. This position will be working with the Software Engineering team in Fremont, CA. The mission is to test applications for supply chain and manufacturing operations which involves writing and executing test scripts for world class software systems that coordinate and manage flow of materials to the factory, along with replenishment and logistics with suppliers.
Develop Test plans and test cases Develop Automated Test suites for Applications Execute functional system, integration, and regression tests Update and use Confluence page extensively for open knowledge-sharing
Over 4-5 years of Sofware QA Engineering experience. BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Experience with automation using one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python Experience with Rest API testing/automation Familiarity with open source tools like Git, stash, and Jenkins Database such as MySQL, Oracle, Postgres etc. Experience working on business services software or enterprise software Evidence of exceptional ability. Passionate about improving the customer experience. Passionate about Tesla's mission.
