What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager, Interior Modules Costing position at Tesla?
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will support the Interior Direct Procurement team by developing advanced Should-Cost Models, analytical tools and systems to ensure we can make first principles-based decision on spend. This role will provide exposure and opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of business functions including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Design and Finance. Responsibilities
- Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated
- Develop ground up based Should-Cost Models for multiple commodities, across several different manufacturing processes and product sets
- Understand manufacturing processes and related CapEx, tooling, labor, raw material costs and other inputs needed to manufacture components that drive cost
- Create databases and systems to be able to track cost and spend data, at both the CapEx and component level
- Develop and track program spend and report outwards regarding budget status
- Work cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance and standardize reporting of cost down initiatives between Engineering and Finance
- Ensure cost down projects have resources appropriately allocated and are meeting timelines dictated by Program Management; identify trends in current costing to help inform current and future design decisions

82,800 - $189,000 / annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
