What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Project Manager - Fleet, ADAS (Palo Alto/Fremont) position at Tesla?
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to accelerate our vehicle-level testing. The ADAS Technical Project Manager is an integral part of the test organization and will be responsible for the coordination of various programs, oversight and tracking of multiple project milestones and execution goals.
This full-time role may require traveling (up to 20%) to various domestic and international destinations as necessary to support business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with multiple internal teams to maintain and grow a lean fleet of test vehicles utilized for various tests.
- Proactively monitor the fleet, troubleshoot issues and escalate to appropriate teams as needed.
- Create innovative fleet management processes and refine existing workflows to improve efficiency.
- Take ownership of vehicles, registrations & fleet audit procedures and meticulously update and document the test fleet status.
- 2 years of program management experience in development and validation, fleet management or equivalent area.
- Analytical mindset & track-record of strong problem-solving skills required
- Detail-oriented with strong administrative and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills to collaboratively work with various departments
- Strong computer skills, in particular a working knowledge and familiarity with MacOS, Linux, and Windows, as well as strong MS Office skills. Python experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex projects and identify critical elements.
- Previous experience as Fleet Manager or similar role is preferred
- Excellent multitasking abilities, needs to thrive in highly dynamic working environments
