What To Expect
The Process & Quality Engineering team Technical Writer will create, manage, and facilitate a wide variety of operational procedures that support customers and internal teams for the Residential Energy business. The team is looking for an experienced Technical Writer who will conceptualize and deliver content designed to enhance the understanding and adherence of processes and support training. This individual will facilitate content that supports key performance indicators and will direct the structure of internal resources, while ensuring alignment to external resources. This is a multi-faceted role where you are expected to have knowledge of the product and market for energy storage, along with great interpersonal communication. Our team is highly collaborative, creative, passionate and has a shared desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology and market landscape.
What You'll Do
Evaluate and improve training materials based on feedback from business partners Gain deep technical knowledge of Tesla products and processes through collaboration with trainers, engineers, and frontline employees Develop and maintain technical documents, including SOPs, resource pages, and customer support guides Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and refine technical information Create content that adheres to Tesla’s quality standards and brand guidelines Manage documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery and task prioritization Analyze feedback to enhance documentation accuracy, accessibility, and relevance
What You'll Bring
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in technology or automotive industries Ability to understand and simplify complex technical concepts Proficiency with documentation tools and software, such as Adobe Suite, DITA, or similar Strong organizational and project management skills A proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence
