Job Description
EL Teacher - West Elementary School
Must hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license and a TESOL endorsement. The teacher will be assigned to work with English Learners (EL's). Candidates must have experience with (or be willing to receive training in) language acquisition and methods for teaching the English language. EL teacher will work closely with classroom teachers to provide language support, assist in identifying and scheduling students for services and assist the classroom teacher with parent communication. Must be properly licensed in grade level, subject and student population. Being bi-lingual is desirable.
Applicants that are offered a teaching position shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District.
