The 32BJ Training Fund is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor for classes taught in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Who We”re Looking For
- Creative, dynamic teachers with good interpersonal skills who enjoy working in diverse linguistic and cultural settings
- Very proficient English speakers with strong knowledge of English and language use.
- Teachers looking to empower immigrant workers through citizenship/civics and English language education
- Plan and implement lesson plans that are aligned to the program curriculum and incorporate the provided educational materials.
- Maintain and submit records of attendance
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor
- Participate in relevant professional development activities, as available
- Perform other duties as assigned within available time
- MA in TESOL, TESL, TEFL, or CELTA
- Minimum of 4 years teaching experience
- Proficient English speakers with strong knowledge of English and language use.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to use digital platforms to instruct, communicate, and record program data.
- Record of completed COVID-19 vaccine or confirmed medical/religious exemption
- Compliance with current COVID-19 protocols of the organization
- Saturdays, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Classes on additional days and times may be available, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Start date is January 20, 2024
- University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT
- $40 per teaching hour
