We are seeking a dedicated and passionate part time ESL Instructor to join our team.
Job Summary
As an ESL instructor, you will be responsible for teaching English language skills to student whose first language is not English. You will create engaging lesson plans, provide individual or group instruction, and assess student progress to ensure they are improving their language proficiency. Your role is crucial in helping students gain confidence and skills to communicate effectively in English.

Work Schedule Demands
- This is a part-time position, 15 hours per week.
- Due to the nature of the job, this individual may need to be flexible with their schedule to accommodate the client population.
- May be required to work at any CCAP location.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor”s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field; preferred
- TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge ESL curriculums
- Patience and empathy to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each student
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Experience using Google Classroom and integrating technology in the classroom
- Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations
- Complete all required background checks

- Design and prepare engaging, interactive and effective lessons plans based on students” language levels and needs.
- Teach reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to students of varying age groups and proficiency levels.
- Regularly assess students” progress through tests, quizzes and informal assessments. Provie feedback on their performance and offer guidance for improvement.
- Maintain a positive and respectful learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Offer individual support to students who may need extra assistance with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or comprehension.
- Create a culturally sensitive classroom by considering students” backgrounds, experiences and learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and progress. Communicate regularly with students case manager.
- Stay updated on the latest teaching strategies, ESL methodologies, and educational technology to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Other duties as assigned.
