ESL(English as a Second Language)
Highland Community College, is seeking a versatile and motivated individual for a part-time ESL Paraprofessional during the Spring 2025 semester. The person hired for this position will work both individually and in group settings with Highland students whose primary language is not English.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting with ESL Highland students on a weekly basis individually and in small groups to provide academic support, mentoring, communication of key concepts, and support of English language learning.
- Connecting students to support services.
- Organizing and facilitating a program offered to Highland ESL students called Burlington English.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Education, Sociology, or a related field for the position, or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Be a vital part of a team that�s dedicated to expanding educational access and helping students achieve their potential.
- Gain valuable experience working in a supportive, inclusive environment.
- Engage in meaningful, hands-on work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, making a lasting impact on their academic and career journeys.
