Minimum Requirements
NYS Teaching Degree in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Position Summary/Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to state curriculum and standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence based interventions as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement.
Stay current with best practices in TESOL and professional development opportunities.
Support the district's Newcomer program as needed.
