Tesoro Technical is seeking a Field Engineer to work with one of our Land Development clients in Orange, CT.
Salary : $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
A valid driver's license is required, and you must pass a DMV and Drug Screen.
Average 40 hrs a week
Duties and Responsibilities
Work under the project lead engineer to support client and construction contractors on a multi-year High-voltage transmission line build.
Promptly collect, organize, and respond to RFIs from contractors and clients. Coordinate with the lead engineer on more complex RFIs and design changes.
Understand client interests and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work.
Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment and adequately address the needs of the client and construction contractors.
Demonstrate ability to work with limited supervision and guidance to execute and meet multiple project commitments.
Understand & meet schedule and quality requirements.
Actively coordinate with internal and external team members on transmission line projects.
Attend construction meetings.
Regular travel to project site during duration of construction to gather data and interface with clients.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of overhead and / or underground electric facilities and a basic understanding of its integration into daily activities.
Professional disposition and the ability to be open-minded when it comes to planning and execution of assigned projects.
Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
Ability to travel to and navigate complex construction sites in an urban environment.
Required Experience
Proven ability to communicate effectively with others, including clients, management, and design team, through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
