What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Agent - Minneapolis/St. Paul position at Tesoro Group?
Tesoro Group is seeking experienced Leasing Agents to join our long-term clients’ team within St. Paul / Minneapolis Metro and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have 6 months’ experience in a proven leasing role. These roles are of various skill levels and skill set - some require affordable housing experience (section 8 / 42) and some will be market rate or commercial properties.
Salary : $18-$22 / hour DOQ and skill set.
Schedule : Monday-Friday : standard daytime hours (8am-9am start and 4pm-5pm end), some positions will require Saturday working hours with a weekday off in lieu during or after the conversion process. These roles are contract to hire (90 days before conversion).
Job Duties and Essential Functions :
- Tenant Communication : Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns via email, chat, or phone in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, always ensuring excellent customer service.
- Application Processing : Assist with the screening and processing of rental applications, including conducting thorough background and credit checks on potential tenants.
- Lease Coordination : Coordinate lease agreements, including preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of contracts. Obtain necessary signatures and distribute copies to relevant parties.
- Office Organization : Maintain an organized and efficient office environment, ensuring all records, documents, and supplies are properly managed and accessible.
- Move-In Coordination : Oversee the move-in process, including coordinating utility switches, collecting renter's insurance, and ensuring all required documents are completed and submitted.
- Vendor Coordination : Work closely with the maintenance team and external vendors to schedule and oversee necessary repairs, maintenance, and property improvements.
- Posting Notices : Prepare and post tenant notices as required, ensuring compliance with property policies and regulations.
