We provide high quality bilingual programs in Spanish, Mandarin, and French and boast a vibrant community representing over 60 cultures and nationalities. Our auxiliary programs are an essential part of our offerings to families, providing quality, diverse programs, and convenience.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Auxiliary Programs, you will take a leadership role in developing, organizing, and managing high-quality auxiliary programs, including after-school activities, summer camps, and enrichment programs. You will lead a team approx. 20 part-time employees and have one or more full-time assistants. This position offers an ambitious educator or manager the opportunity to refine their team management skills, enhance program organization, and gain well-rounded leadership experience.
You responsibilities will include:
Program Development and Management:
- Under the leadership of the head of school, develop and implement a strategic vision for auxiliary programs focused on high quality programs, organization, and safety
- Research and identify new program opportunities based on student needs and interests.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all auxiliary programs.
- Manage program budgets and ensure financial sustainability.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
- Class observation; The ability to observe classrooms and give feedback
Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, and supervise auxiliary program staff, including instructors and assistants.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Communication and Outreach:
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff regarding program offerings, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote auxiliary programs.
- Build relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings.
Administrative and Operational:
- Maintain accurate program records and track enrollment.
- Manage program logistics, including ordering supplies, arranging transportation, and coordinating facility usage.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
- Prepare program materials, flyers, and registration forms.
Requirements:
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program development and team management, ideally leading a school auxiliary program
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience and taste for working with children
- Awareness of the importance of children's safety
- International experience and taste for multicultural environments are a plus
- Hours: 11am-7pm
