Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise IT environments, including Windows Server, Linux, and Cloud-based infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and Certificate Services.
- Oversee Linux environments (RedHat/CentOS and Debian-based systems), ensuring high availability and security.
- Implement and manage virtualization platforms, including VMware and Azure Stack.
- Administer and optimize cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and AWS, ensuring scalability and security.
- Develop and maintain automated patch management systems and IT infrastructure tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and conduct root cause analyses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline IT operations, define best practices, and improve development and deployment processes.
- Enhance security posture by identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
- Drive automation initiatives using scripting tools to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years managing RedHat/CentOS and Debian-based Linux environments.
- 3-5 years managing Windows Server environments, including Hybrid Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and Certificate Services.
- Significant experience managing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, including:
- SCCM / Intune (endpoint management and automation)
- Defender (security operations and threat protection)
- Sentinel (SIEM and security monitoring)
- Purview (compliance and data governance)
- Hands-on experience managing Amazon Web Services (AWS)in a production environment, including:
- IAM, RDS, EC2, ECS, and Control Tower
- Familiarity with containerized environments, particularly Docker.
- Strong knowledge of networking, storage, security principles, and middleware technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Experience with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of security frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, and NIST 800-53.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Red Hat, Cisco, or security-related certifications).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
