Laser Operator – Tesseract Fab
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 hourly (based on merit and productivity)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (flexible), with overtime available
Tesseract Fab is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laser Operator to support our cutting-edge manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in laser cutting processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to meet production standards.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensuring accuracy in cutting, engraving, and marking processes.
- Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Maintaining proper material handling, storage, and traceability.
- Collaborating with the production team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Documenting work processes and adhering to quality control measures.
- Maintain and complete maintenance checklists to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Return unused material to designated storage areas for proper inventory management.
- Keep laser machines and surrounding work areas clean to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
Basic computer and math skills, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to precision are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, demonstrate initiative, and contribute to Tesseract Fab’s mission of excellence in manufacturing.
Knowledge and Qualifications Required
- Proficiency in using measuring tools, including calipers, to ensure precision.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Follow job routing instructions to ensure proper processing and workflow.
- Some prior CNC and/or laser experience is preferred but not required.
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
