The Nursing Technician will perform tasks, which involve specified services for patients delegated by a Licensed Nurse.
Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
Nurse Aide Certification preferred.
Physical Capabilities
Work is of medium demand. Standing, walking most of the time on duty. Lifting and pushing patients, carts and wheelchairs. Good tactile sensations necessary for checking patients. Talking and hearing to converse with patients and staff members. Near visual acuity for accurate reading of gauges and thermometers and for recording on patients' charts.
Skills and Abilities
The Nurse Tech Technical Procedure Privileging Form details procedures the employee is expected to perform and must be completed by the end of the 3-month probationary period. Age specific knowledge is required when needed for appropriate patient care.
