ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND / OR DIPLOMA FROM RESPIRATORY THERAPY PROGRAM ACCREDITED BY JRCRTE

- Frequent bending over a patient in bed for several minutes at a time

Occupational exposure of high risk for blood borne pathogens
EFFECTIVE AND PLEASANT COMMUNICATION WITH MEDICAL STAFF, NURSING, ANCILLARY DEPARTMENTS, AND DEPARTMENT STAFF TO ASSURE TEAMWORK APPROACH TOWARD PATIENT CARE
Under general supervision of Lead Therapist of his / her shift or Lead / Management on duty. Required upon request of physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and performs procedures to be utilized in routine and complex treatment of respiratory diseases in compliance with policy and procedure. Maintains proficiency in all general activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
RRT credential, licensed by the Texas Department of Health-Respiratory Care, and CPR
Work is of medium demand, walking and standing a great deal of the time
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form
