The Metrology Technician III will perform calibration and repair of test equipment for the Company.
Essential Duties, Functions And/or Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and repair of test equipment
- Refurbish test equipment to original condition
- Customer support
- Maintain orderly work area
- Process orders
- Generate Calibration Documentation
- Provide product training as directed by Lab Manager or Supervisor
- Misc. Duties as assigned by Lab Manager or Supervisor
- Expert level experience with 4 or more product groups such as:
- RF = 1GHz - 50GHz, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators and Analyzers
- Intermediate RF = 1GHZ - 18GHZ Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators and Analyzers
- Telecom = High Speed Optical, Data Communications, Bluetooth Testers, Wireless Communication Testers
- High Performance Instrumentation = 4GHZ and above oscilloscopes, Function and Signal generators, DVM's, Frequency counters, Logic Analyzers
- Mid Frequency General Purpose =1GHZ - 4GHz oscilloscopes, Function - signal generators, DVM's, frequency counters, Logic Analyzers
- Low Frequency General Purpose = Below 1GHZ oscilloscopes, Function or Signal generators, DVM's, frequency counters
- Power Supplies and Power/Network Monitoring = Power supplies, Voltage and Current monitoring and generation, DVM’s, Optical and Electrical Network Monitoring
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school and at least one year of tech. school, college, military experience is required
- 3 years related experience is required
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot basic electronic problems
- Ability to solder
- Understanding of the basics of calibration
- Understanding of basic electronic terminology
- Basic computer skills
- Good verbal and written communications
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
