Testudo is seeking full time inpatient and outpatient Pharmacy Technicians to work with us in support of the VA Medical Center located at 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications for inpatient and outpatient care.
- Maintain and update patient medication records in the VA system.
- Ensure accurate labeling and packaging of prescriptions.
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor medication expiration dates.
- Process medication orders and prescriptions per VA protocols.
- Operate pharmacy equipment and automated medication dispensing systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to veterans, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Comply with VA regulations, safety protocols, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Complete all required training, including ACLS, BLS, and VA-mandated courses.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification: Must hold a CPT Technician Certification License.
- Citizenship Status: Open to U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders.
- Experience: One year experience in hospital pharmacy with a focus on sterile IV compounding
Schedule: Pharmacy services are operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days a year. Ansible’s pharmacists are subject to varying work hours depending on staffing needs. Work hours may consist of either 8- or 12-hour tours, with a minimum of a 12-hour rest period between shifts. Weekend and holiday coverage may be needed pending staffing needs.
