Teton County School District is looking for Substitute Bus Drivers to provide safe and efficient transportation for students, ensuring they have access to both the district’s academic and extracurricular programs. Your Role Will Include:
- Safely transporting students on assigned routes and trips.
- Ensuring student safety during boarding, travel, and drop-off.
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintaining order and discipline among passengers.
- Establishing positive interactions with students, parents, and staff.
- Keeping the bus clean and fueled per standard procedures.
- Conducting state-mandated evacuation drills twice a year.
- Completing required reports and complying with safety regulations.
- Passing annual DOT physical and random drug/alcohol testing.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (training provided).
- Ability to pass a physical exam by a licensed physician.
- Random drug & alcohol testing required per state law.
- Education and experience that provide the necessary skills and knowledge for this role.
Salary and Benefits:
- Pay of $23.70 per hour.
- Paid CDL Training.
Location & Shift Times:
- Teton County School District.
- On-call, as needed.
