SUMMARY: Under general supervision, plans, coordinates, and manages staff and volunteers in providing western heritage
programs and events; oversees and coordinates the maintenance and repair of Fair facilities and fairgrounds.
This is an Exempt position.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Plans and manages operations of the fair facilities and grounds; prepares fairground facilities for special events, and
allocates resources; coordinates promotion and marketing for events and seasonal operations; and manages facility
rentals. Manages event and program administration and documentation; supports fairground public use scheduling and
fee assessment.
• Supervises staff and volunteers in the completion of daily activities.
• Evaluates and promotes western heritage community needs and interests and recommends programs and goals.
Facilitates and maintains partnerships with local businesses, government agencies and other community members;
recruits' scholarships and donations for programs and events.
• Assists and supports the Fair Board in the organization, planning and execution of the annual County Fair. Identifies,
recommends, and coordinates Fair entertainment. Prepares and publishes agendas and packets for Fair Board
meetings; takes and transcribes minutes; records and publishes meeting records; and regularly prepares financial and
status reports.
• Recommends annual County operations and capital improvement budgets; reviews and approves minor expenditures;
monitors program budgets; writes grants to support programs; and orders program supplies and equipment.
• Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and
cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and
County information: performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
• Associate's degree preferred in facilities or business management or related field; AND four years of experience in
facilities management that includes two years of supervisory responsibilities; OR an equivalent combination of education,
training, and experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
• Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Required Knowledge of:
• Project and budget management methods and techniques.
• Maintenance and repair standards for public grounds and facilities.
• State statutes; department and county policies and procedures.
Required Skills in:
• Planning and managing projects.
• Planning and organizing work to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with coworkers, volunteers, board members, outside
organizations, and the general public.
• Operating a personal computer utilizing standard software such as Microsoft Office and some specialized software.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• Work is performed in a standard office environment; may perform maintenance work that involves exposure to dangerous
tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment
