What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Authorization Coordinator position at TETON VALLEY HEALTH CARE, INC?
The Pre-Authorization Coordinator reports to the Business Office Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for obtaining required prior authorization from payors for patient procedures or medications. This position requires a knowledge of medical procedures, prior authorization requirements, and the ability to explain this process clearly to patients and others. The incumbent will need to have effective time management skills and be able to effectively communicate and follow up with insurance companies and patients. This is a part time position up to 16 hours a week.
