Job Summary
Logistics and Planning Manager
The position is located at 801 Kingsley Street, Winsted, MN 55395.
10% International travel required.

What you will do
As a Logistics and Planning Manager, you will:
Manage and drive warehouse functions and teams. Drive production strategy objectives. Direct the implementation of global logistics processes and strategies across Tetra Pak’s market regions, including developing strategies for transportation agreements, operational performance, and improvement of the logistics control tower. Lead implementation of strategy improvements and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI) with the goal of maintaining highly effective logistic factory function. Oversee logistics competencies for the factory and advise on factory performance across relevant business streams. Coach and advance World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities within the market region in logistics and propose strategies for logistics in all areas of Tetra Pak’s business. Lead logistics performance improvement and direct the implementation of focused key performance indicators and process views. Responsible for logistics activities within the factory and drive cost reduction, service levels, and effective utilization of warehouse and logistics activities. Implement priorities and initiatives in the factory logistics areas within the market region. Ensure supplier documentation is in-line and that deliveries have been made to the customer. Resolve issues that might arise with deliveries to and from warehouses, customs, and third parties. Administer and manage documentation for all goods in and out of the factory (e.g. invoices and customs documentation). Implement and lead best practices for the warehouse and transportation and logistics resource management in the factory (and for outsourced resources, if applicable). Ensure correct and timely reporting of KPIs (including costs, payload, etc.) for all metrics concerning the factory. Actively manage the factory logistics team (including performance management and individual development). Lead factory logistics, working with Customer Service and Design, to optimize internal and outsourced resources to maximize short and midterm capacity utilization and efficient usage of working capital. Secure logistics quality of service towards customers, including claim and complaints management / root cause analysis /
eradication. Lead operational production planning for the site, optimizing utilization of production capacity people and facilities. Lead the set-up of production orders and follow up on progress. Lead consolidation of production master schedule. Lead planning of materials availability for production. Lead coordination between production and order owners.
We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Logistics, Production, or Material Science) and 5 years of experience in logistics or World Class Manufacturing.
Must have work experience in:
- Leading warehouse operations, optimizing inventory turnover, and securing material availability.
- World Class Manufacturing leader or implementation leader.
- Purchasing material from global vendors, securing the right quality, cost, and delivery time.
- Inbound transportation of material for production and outbound transportation of equipment to customers.
- Supplier management securing right price and delivery terms.
- SAP transactions for material management, procurement, and transportation.
- Production planning to optimize capacity utilization leveraging SAP solution.
Pay Equity
Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include overtime, annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
- Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $104,187.00 to $185,187.00.
- Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
