Maintenance Technician
Tetra Pak Tubex Inc. in Louisa, VA is looking for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of our factory. This position will perform all maintenance tasks involved in the production of straws, following standard work methods to ensure quality and safe work practices.
Job Summary
- Works on equipment maintenance, including breakdown maintenance
- Maintain machines as per AM/PM logs
- Ensure proper equipment operation during shifts and correct anomalies in case of breakdowns
- Perform preventive and corrective activities at equipment according to maintenance plans under the supervision of Maintenance Engineers
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance, repair, and troubleshoot U straw machines, extruders, and Telescopic straw production lines
- Clean, inspect, lubricate, and identify general machine anomalies
- Report on all maintenance tasks
- Participate in Autonomous Maintenance Teams, lead teams as needed
- Train other employees as needed
- Problem solving
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Outputs and Measurements
- Participate in regular Preventive Maintenance
- Minimize losses (short stops/breakdowns) on machines/equipment, meet Mean Down Time Targets
- Guide colleagues with AM/PM and removing red tags
- Report all activities in SAP, Plant Maintenance Module and solve reported problems according to plans
- Maintain the Maintenance Spare parts store
- Achieve Preventive activities TBM (Time Based Maintenance) compliance ratio and targets
- 5S in accordance with standards in all maintenance areas
Requirements
- 2 years of basic machine maintenance experience
- Problem-solving skills
- Embracing change

- Intermediate Computer Skills
- Basic math skills, reading comprehension
- WCM basic methodology preferred
