Job Summary
Quality Assurance Manager
The position is located at 1616 W 31st Street, Vancouver, WA 98660.
10% Domestic and international travel.

What You Will Do
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will:
Plan, monitor, and implement a systematic execution of quality controls and test routines. Responsible for hygiene standards across the factory and joint responsibility for occupational safety and environment protection in the quality area, in compliance with corporate expectations and requirements. Lead the resolution of customer issues related to materials produced at our factory. Drive discussions with suppliers for identified quality issues and required improvements. Responsible for assigning tasks, monitoring work in progress, reviewing work product, and providing direction to direct reports. Lead the Quality Maintenance Pillar and activities within the World Class Manufacturing Program for continuous improvement. Drive the definition, follow up and reporting of quality related KPIs and KAIs for the factory. Perform defect waste loss deployments and drive actions towards defect eradication. Support people development in quality matters and foster a quality mindset across the organization. Ensure the fulfilment of the Integrated Quality System based on Safe Quality Food (SQF) and coordinate related audits and communication with authorities. Lead or launch multifunctional quality improvement teams and projects. Drive the implementation of statistical process control (SPC).
We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of experience in quality management.

We believe you have

Must Have Work Experience In
- Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety Code: Manufacture of Food Packaging Edition 9, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Food Fraud & Food Defense.
- Managerial skills including hiring, training, development, and employee performance management; identifying and setting objectives; and defining the roadmap and tasks for the implementation of Quality Plans.
- Continuous Improvement Methodologies & Tools: Six Sigma including SPC, Lean Manufacturing, 5W 1H, 4M, and 5WHY.
- Communicating with external key stakeholders (customers, commercial areas, suppliers) to resolve issues including claim analysis & reporting in SAP/R3, new product introduction, issue of specifications and technical documentation, performance of paperboard materials, and suppliers claim processes.
- Integration, certification, and maintenance to secure compliance of the Management Systems based on applicable industry standards including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SQF Edition 9, FSC, FDA, and SMETA.
