Essential Duties:
- Perform maintenance operations mechanical in nature, including turning wrenches, motor valves, rebuilding regulators, BPRs, flanges, and dump controllers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance of surface testing equipment, flare stacks, fluid tanks, and generators.
- Diagnose and repair problems on external component replacements.
- Perform post-job repairs on PM separator units, line heaters, sand traps, and flares.
- Perform starting and charging system diagnosis, routing electrical diagnosis, and repair.
- Perform hydraulic pump/electric generator diagnosis and repairs.
- Perform fabrication functions, welding, cutting, and plumbing soldering.
- Utilizes parts diagrams, computers, and other resources to research problems and identify and locate parts.
- Communicates well with internal customers on equipment availability, repair time estimates, troubleshooting, and status updates.
- Collaborates with the iron shop technicians.
- Complete work orders for every inspection and repair.
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required
- EXPERIENCE:
- Vocational training preferred but not required
- Welding experience preferred but not required
- Safety training
- Experience referencing to maintenance and procedure manuals preferred but not required
- Experience reading technical manuals and schematics is preferred but not required
- Experience with hydraulic troubleshooting and repair preferred but not required
- Experience with electrical system troubleshooting and repair is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- TRAVEL: 25%
- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in line with Tetra requirements
