We are seeking a motivated and experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team out of our Atlanta, GA, Jacksonville, FL, or Cocoa, FL offices, supporting impactful projects in the Southeast. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders on diverse assignments, including stormwater management and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, green infrastructure, low impact development, water quantity and water quality analysis, dam assessments and rehabilitation, resiliency solutions, and watershed and coastal management projects. In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to business development, helping to expand our client relationships and contribute to the growth of our practice. If you’re ready to apply your skills to a variety of municipal, state, federal, and private projects while advancing your career, we would love to hear from you.

As a Water Resources Engineer, your primary focus will be:

  • Lead or support stormwater infrastructure projects, including green infrastructure, low impact development, and dam assessments and rehabilitation design.
  • Develop technical designs and prepare construction and bid documents, including plans, specifications, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Analyze water quality and watershed data using GIS and statistical methods, creating detailed charts, maps, and reports to communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high quality deliverables through quality control and assurance processes.
  • Engage in business development activities, including building client relationships, contributing to proposals, and identifying opportunities to expand services.
  • Support project documentation by preparing memos, technical reports, and presentations.

To be a successful Water Resources Engineer, you’ll need to have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering (master’s degree preferred) and a strong foundation in stormwater design and watershed management.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Georgia or Florida with 5-15 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS preferred.
  • Proven analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through education and professional experience.
  • Experience preparing and delivering client presentations, with a focus on municipal or other public-sector clients.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, and an eagerness to learn additional design and analysis software as needed.

If you’re interested in this opportunity but are unsure if you have all these qualifications, we encourage you to apply anyway.
