About the Role:
We are seeking a Green Climate Fund Support Expert to provide technical assistance to USAID on ongoing short-term assignments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support USAID in Advancing GCF Programming
- Develop and implement GCF readiness initiatives.
- Submit GCF full-size project proposals focused on climate adaptation.
- Evaluate GCF projects and programs.
- Support direct access entities (DAEs) in advancing their accreditation processes.
- Provide Guidance to USAID on GCF Secretariat Engagement
- Offer strategic advice on GCF secretariat policies, programming processes, and collaboration opportunities.
Qualification Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience working with the GCF.
- Field-based experience working with countries to advance GCF proposals and assist DAEs with accreditation processes.
- Desirable: prior experience with GCF's work in fragile, conflict-affected states, humanitarian settings, and social/environmental safeguards procedures.
- Knowledge of USAID and familiarity with USAID's Program Cycle are desirable.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated workshop and meeting facilitation abilities.
- Ability to travel internationally.
