Tetra Tech is currently seeking part-time, Lab Technicians to work out at our client site in Tulare, CA.

You will support a project at the UC Davis, Tulare Campus. Selected candidates will be working as bench lab technician related to sample preparation. You will perform the following tasks :

• Receive samples from State personnel.
• Aliquot samples from original sample tubes into smaller sample tubes.
• Seal sample tubes.
• Proper storage and handling of samples.
• Place printed barcode labels on sample tubes.
• Package samples for shipment by FedEx or a courier, in accordance with DOT and other applicable requirements.

The lab technician will operate within a biosafety cabinet and demonstrate safe and efficient lab practices at all times. You will also dispose of samples when directed to do so by the client.

Lab Technicians will be trained in the above procedures

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year of experience performing laboratory functions including the tasks listed below (experience as an undergraduate or graduate student may be considered).

The Salary Range for this position is $30.00 / hour to $32.00 / hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
