Essential Duties:
The Amboy & Lee Chemical Operations produce calcium chloride and sodium chloride by utilizing solar evaporation. Calcium Chloride liquid is transferred throughout the plant site at various concentrations using our truck and trailer or pumps during the production process and the Sodium Chloride is harvested using heavy equipment.
- Actively participates in the BBO process
- Attends safety meetings
- Attends safety training sessions at plant sit
- Review equipment start up sheets and create work orders for the plant equipment.
- Check engine fluid levels and perform detailed equipment inspections on all fixed and mobile plant equipment such as pumps, scrapers, trucks, dozer, excavators, generators, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all site equipment as determined by the preventative maintenance schedule.
- Perform repair maintenance on all site equipment when required.
- Perform welding, grinding, painting and minor fabrication as required.
- Operate plant equipment as required for maintenance or operational requirements.
- Assist in other areas of the plant site as needed, including site operations.
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years’ experience
- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Mechanic certification and completion of a Technical School, Vocational School, or Community College
- TRAVEL: Varies depending on job site
