Essential Duties
Effectively and efficiently repair and service all engines, drives, generators, hydraulic and air systems, and any other mechanical equipment associated with ESG GOM Fluids to TETRA Technologies quality specifications. Troubleshoot and identify maintenance needs as necessary for all machinery and equipment. This work can be performed at any TETRA location as well as at the job site where the equipment is located.
- Must safely perform all duties, observing safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment, at all times.
- Follows preventive maintenance procedures on all mechanical equipment and maintains records.

- Troubleshoot equipment daily and take immediate steps to correct any problems.
- Promote company image by ensuring facilities, vehicles, equipment, and work areas are clean and well maintained.
- Travel to other locations to perform maintenance/repairs to company assets. This travel may include a helicopter and/or crew boat.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with lockout-tag-out procedures for any equipment under repair.
- Assist others in loading and unloading equipment and supplies as needed.
- Work on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, except for regularly scheduled days off period (vacation). Available on short notice for performing work duties.
- Perform any and all other tasks as may be specified by the supervisor or TETRA Technologies management from time to time. NOTE: This position does NOT only involve mechanic work.
Requirements
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus two years of experience with similar equipment; or an equivalent combination of education or educational ability and experience
- EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in manufacturing/production
- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid DL, PEC Basic Safety Certificate, 24-hour HAZWOPER Certificate, TWIC Card, First Aid/CPR Certificate, Smith Systems Defensive Driving
- Other:
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card.
- Complete all required initial training, refresher and re-certification training in compliance with TETRA, and regulatory agency training schedules.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
