Job Summary
Seeking a well-experienced Professional Land Surveyor, licensed in California, with ample knowledge of the Subdivision Map Act, Professional Land Surveyor’s Act, Public Land Survey System, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, and Southern California county and city regulations including: mapping, preparation of tract/parcel maps, records of survey, legal descriptions and exhibits, easements, air-space subdivisions, condominium plans, utility surveys, applied technology (robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS, LiDAR), construction staking, performing and preparing boundary and topographic surveys, GPS/GNSS post processing, error analysis, least squares network adjustments, compass rule adjustments, and boundary resolution. Must possess the ability to perform and oversee both office and field surveys. The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of office and field survey experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects, clients, and teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing subordinate office staff and field crews in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
- Ensuring project milestones and goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Preparing proposals and estimates.
- Maintaining schedules and budgets.
- Reviewing invoices.
- Organizing and scheduling field crews for various survey tasks.
- Serving as point of contact for current and new clients.
- Providing technical support to office staff and field crews regarding methodology, software, and survey instruments.
- Providing technical support to design teams for all survey/mapping-related inquiries.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensuring quality control and quality assurance of work products and deliverables.
