Job title: Project Manager (multi million dollars project experience)

All activities of the construction process developing schedule and budget, examine and inspect work progress, monitor safety standards and ensure compliance. Working with Superintendents redeem margin goals on assigned projects. Promote an atmosphere of teamwork and company loyalty. Fulfill customer obligations on time in a cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality standards possible. Delegate and organize the work of others by establishing goals and objectives. Audit the performance of subordinates and take appropriate action.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Audit all job documents and review with Project Superintendents for constructability.
Ensures observance of the project specifications and carries out the work in accordance with planned time and costs
Plan materials and equipment procurement to be on site to facilitate a seamless construction process by the dependent teams.
Review LOE per the terms and conditions of the booked proposal/estimate.
Manages the process of assigning sub-contractors and ensures compliance to specifications and quality expectations.
Review project progress and provide information regarding the progress of the project and assist in identifying issues which may have a negative impact on the project objectives indicating deviations between the program and the work carried out and proposes solutions and/or requests instructions to overcome these issues.
Conduct mid-year and annual reviews of Project Manager’s Assistant and/or Assistant Project Manager.
Monitor use of expenses, within budget to achieve maximum benefit from expense dollars. Take the initiative in establishing what this budget is within two weeks of employment start date.
Assure contractual commitments to customers are met and the department achieves the highest standards of quality.
Ensure that quality control procedures are being followed and that quality expectations are being met.
Attend safety meetings and encourage attendance by subordinates.
Assists with the hand-over of completed works.
Minimizes the company’s exposure to risk on projects.
Assure job is completed at or below budget as well as at or before scheduled completion date. If this is not the case communicate with management why dead-lines are not being met prior to occurrence as well as YOUR plan to ensure profit, quality, and company reputation are not compromised.
Assure on-time billings and collections on assigned jobs. You have the lead responsibility in managing this process.

Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. (Absent a BS degree the 3 years experience listed below is superseded by 7 years of required experience in a related field)
Experience:
Minimum Three to Five years’ experience as a successful Project Manager in the mechanical industry.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to accomplish almost any task with little direction.
Understands electrical/mechanical systems, wiring, and automatic controls.
Ability to interpret drawings, equipment conditions, job conditions, and potential problems.
Maintain current knowledge of new concepts and technical advances.
Keep informed on appropriate codes and industry standards.
Utilize manpower planning and monitoring reports to assure proper manning of jobs for maximum productivity.
Coaching and counseling skills.
Effective budget management within guidelines.
Time management skills.
