Automotive Sales Professional duties and responsibilities

Competent Automotive Salesperson is charged with making potential customers feel like they’re being listened to and that their needs are being considered. These consultants also need to communicate effectively and convincingly when educating customers of the benefits of buying a certain type of vehicle. We are a small family company so you will handle the customer car buying experience from start to finish. You will also help the customer after the sale with any needs. We build relationships with the customers, so they come to us for service and refer their family and friends to us.

Their main duties include:

  • Making sure the cars on display are in good order, are well cared for, and are advertised properly
  • Meeting and greeting customers who enter the sales lot or dealership in a welcoming and helpful way
  • Helping customers become familiar with the cars they’re interested in by offering test drives and explaining technical details and specific legal or financial requirements
  • Helping customers sort out and process their financing and purchasing options based on their specific situation
  • Efficiently and accurately completing all required paperwork for the sale
  • Assist customers in buying a vehicle in a way that leaves them feeling good about their choice and our company

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably within an automotive dealership environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers over the phone and in person.
  • Demonstrated success in upselling products and services.
  • Familiarity with sales pipelines and CRM software is a plus.
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for automotive sales.

Pay: $52,879.00 - $123,687.00 per year
